Good stuff: convenient, comfortable

Bad stuff: We were not given messages and did not receive any at all even though there were messages when we called the front desk. This is a service that is standard in a hotel like this one and caused us quite a bit of trouble until we figured out that we had to check regularly for messages. Also when my brother called from Dublin, he was told by front desk staff that they did not have time to find out if we were in the hotel as they were too busy. I found out that he had called when I checked for messages. Consequently, I missed my brother when I called back. It seems strange that the call could not have been forwarded to our room when it came in. We were in the room at the time.

Overall: We were under the impression that wireless internet was included in our rate. When we used the pay-for service it was somewhat unreliable and quite expensive. Internet connection is generally available as included in North American hotels we have stayed in. We ended up using a local internet cafe that was very efficient and much easier. Otherwise the hotel was quite good and we would book there again if coming to Harrow. We have stayed in the hotel twice before.

Good stuff: It was very convenient for attending a wedding and the breakfast was excellent. It is nice to be able to have a full mug of tea when you get back to the hotel late after a wedding.

Bad stuff: The heating was on in the room when we arrived and it was boiling hot. We did not realise that the thermostat on the radiator turned the opposite way to number one to switch off. Basic instructions on the heating would have been useful.

Overall: The hotel is good value with ample parking, I found it comfortable and clean and the buffet breakfast was very wellcome following a long day out at a wedding the day before. It is very convenient for the shops in Harrow and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Overall I was very happy with the booking.
